they say the person you kiss on new years is the person that you are going to spend the rest of your life with. while i don't necessarily believe that, i do think there is something magical about a kiss. someone you don't love kisses you and you feel it instantly and the next moment, it's forgotten. someone you do love kisses you and you remember it for the rest of your life. their memory lingers in your mind. even if it's something as meaningless as a kiss on the cheek, suddenly, that kiss becomes so meaningful to you.
