Narcissism or Brilliance?
As most of you know, normally, at poetry launches, the author does a reading, but what I have decided to do, with the help of extremely talented actors, is actually perform my poetry. Considering the fact that this is my first book and the first 'Yasmin Virani' production after five years, this is an incredibly momentous occasion in my life and I would be most obliged if all of you could make it.
The production itself is only 30 mins. long, after which, we will dance the day away. There will be a table where each guest can either purchase a copy of Narcissism or Brilliance?, or order it directly with us, without having to pay the shipping/handling fees online.
On behalf of the entire cast, I would like to thank you all for the love and support that each of you have shown us thus far and even if you can't make it out on the 30th - you will be in our hearts! Please remember to spread the word, as we are relying on the generosity of our friends and family to help make this event a successful one.
If you require any further information please see the flyer above or feel free to e-mail me directly.
Love and Light,
Yasmin Virani.

question
JUST ONCE ... ONLY ONCE ... I WOULD LIKE HIM TO BE THERE FOR ME WHEN I NEED HIM TO BE, BUT AS USUAL HE IS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. WHEN WILL I EVER LEARN THAT THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LOYALTY AND STUPIDITY?
MY INNERMOST THOUGHTS
I must have read this story 50 times already. It’s so simple and yet so powerful...
Once upon a time, there was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone except her boyfriend. He truly loved her and she knew it. “If only I could see the world, I would marry you,” she told him. Her wish was answered. One day, she received a donated pair of eyes. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend for the very first time. “Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?” he asked. The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. All this time, and she had never once suspected that he was blind as well. The thought of never being able to look into his eyes haunted her. She refused to marry him.
With tears in his eyelids, the boyfriend left her without saying a word. Days later, she found a note under her door from him, “Take good care of your eyes, my dear. Before they were yours, they were mine.”

question
HAVE YOU EVER MET SOMEONE WHOM YOU HAVE BEEN SPIRITUALLY ATTRACTED TO? NOT PHYSICALLY, NOT EMOTIONALLY, NOT MENTALLY, BUT SPIRITUALLY? I WONDER IF LIFE WILL EVER BE KIND ENOUGH TO INTRODUCE ME TO A MAN LIKE THAT AGAIN. SOMEONE WHO COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDS ME, WITHOUT ME HAVING TO SAY A WORD AND IF HE HAPPENS TO FALL IN LOVE WITH ME ... WHAT MORE COULD I ASK FOR?
